Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The Founder Coach ("we", "us", "our", the "app") is a productivity and coaching service that helps entrepreneurs plan their day. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

2. Data we collect

• Account data — name, email, hashed password, timezone.
• Product data — goals, KPIs, habits, calendar events, check-ins, gym routines, notes, voice transcriptions, AI conversation history.
• Billing data — Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your card details; Stripe handles them directly under PCI-DSS.
• Optional integrations — Google Calendar OAuth tokens (only if you connect Google), email preferences (if you opt in to reminders).
• Session cookies — a single httpOnly authentication cookie. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

3. How we use your data

• To provide the core service (calendar, habits, AI routine, coaching).
• To generate AI responses via Anthropic Claude and OpenAI Whisper — see "Sub-processors" below.
• To send reminder emails via Resend, only if you have enabled them.
• To process subscription payments via Stripe.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and comply with law.

We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do nottrain AI models on your content.

4. Sub-processors

• Anthropic (Claude Sonnet 4.5) — powers AI routines, gym routines, check-in reflections and voice-assistant intent parsing.
• OpenAI (Whisper) — transcribes voice notes.
• Stripe — processes subscription payments.
• Resend — delivers reminder emails (only if opted in).
• Google — Calendar sync (only if you connect your account).
• MongoDB — encrypted database hosting.

5. Legal basis (UK / EU GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of (a) performance of a contract with you, (b) your explicit consent for optional integrations, and (c) our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service. You may withdraw consent at any time.

6. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal content is purged within 24 hours. Anonymised financial records may be retained to satisfy tax and accounting obligations.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — download your data via Settings → Data Export.
• Rectify — edit any content directly in the app.
• Erase — delete your account and all data via Settings → Delete Account.
• Object / Restrict — contact us to limit how we use your data.
• Complain — you may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

8. Children

The service is intended for users aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. International transfers

Some sub-processors are based outside the UK/EU. Where that is the case, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect your data in transit.
